Esophageal Cancer is a cancer which develops in the esophagus. The esophagus is the tube which connects the throat to the stomach.
Symptoms:
Esophageal cancer is difficult to detect early. Some symptoms are:
- Coughing up blood
- Difficult or painful swallowing
- Hoarseness or chronic cough
- Pain in throat, back, behind the breastbone or between the shoulder blades
- Iron-deficiency anemia
- Vomiting
- Severe weight loss
